On Thursday, November 5, 2026, Masahiro Kimura, CEO of GTS Advisory Inc., delivered a special lecture at Sangmyung University in South Korea for students enrolled in the "Korea-Japan Content Industry Analysis" course.
■ What Remains Unchanged for 30 Years Even as AI Evolves?
The theme of the lecture was "What Remains Unchanged for 30 Years Even as AI Evolves ── From the Frontlines of the Japan-Korea Content Business." CEO Kimura drew upon his early career experiences at the Samsung Group Chairman's Secretariat and the gritty reality of launching the PC online gaming business 'GameOn' in Japan to explain why actual business localization takes years despite AI's ability to generate instant strategies.
■ "Korea of the Ballpoint Pen, Japan of the Pencil": Translating Decision-Making OS
The lecture emphasized the fundamental differences in the "decision-making OS" between Korean and Japanese businesses. Without deeply understanding the three layers of localization—market infrastructure, customer habits, and organizational processes—and translating the underlying intent and background, cross-border business cannot succeed. This "translation" of business culture remains a uniquely human role in the AI era and is the core value GTS Advisory provides.
■ Practical Q&A and "Together with the Next Generation"
The session concluded with an active Q&A. Professor Abu commended the lecture, noting, "It was highly practical and easy to understand, avoiding abstract theory."
Through educational initiatives at Hokkaido University, Magok High School, and now Sangmyung University, GTS Advisory remains committed to fostering the next generation of global talent as part of our core CSR activities. We extend our deepest gratitude to Professor Abu and all the participating students.
